Our good friend, Christine, took us to Suraon (The King’s Palace) for a fancy multi-course lunch, complete with traditional performances in the background! On the walk there, a flock of pigeons flew up and away, just as I reached for my camera…


What I love about Korean subway systems is that they have built-in underground malls…

After exiting the Gwanghwamun station, we stopped by Tiamo Caffe before actually checking out the palace gate.

Sugar high, we trekked out into the cold, toward the palace for some photo ops:

Wanting to seek some shelter without consuming more calories, we decided to head back to Gangnam and hang out at the giant underground Coex mall, fully adorned for the holidays:

After hours of looking at cute Asian stationery and tech gadgets, we ended up here to try something very familiar yet localized:

I suppose the double bugolgi burger was a bit better than the pearl milk tea from Shanghai’s McD’s.
