Wuliany Wedding

Post image for Wuliany Wedding in Carmel!
We have wedding photos at last! Major thanks to all the friends and family who helped out — seriously, we wouldn’t have been able to plan and do everything on our own. We literally didn’t have to hire any professional because…you guys ARE professionals! We’d like to make shoutouts to the extra special guests who made our wedding a night to remember: THANK YOU Hy Vu of HyStudio for taking our photos from Saturday afternoon to Sunday night; all my girlfriends who helped out with the centerpieces, particularly Amy, Christine, Daisy, Helen, Jenny and Steph; my Mother in Law for the most beautiful ribbons in the world; Steve for being the most eloquent officiant on short notice and most entertaining MC duo with DV; Jeff for his melodic guitar drifts and piano ballads; and last but not least, Chris for pumpin’ up the beat all night long. YOU GUYS ROCK SO MUCH!!! Bridesmaids and groomsmen, besides the obvious and the details, thanks for putting up with coral. Real men wear pink. view more →

Post image for Wuliany Wedding Rehearsal Beach Party!
After nearly two months abroad traveling throughout Asia, I’m finally back in the Bay Area — and behind on photos! Before I start blogging about our fantastic honeymoon, here are glimpses of the actual wedding weekend, starting with Saturday’s rehearsal and party at the beach! Our pastor couldn’t make it on Sunday, so he actually married us (officially) that day. We grabbed some driftwood to set-up an “altar”, lined up two kelp strands to create an aisle, and used a cooler box as our communion table. After the “ceremony”, we partied it up with burgers, hotdogs, and drumsticks! view more →

Post image for Wuliany Wedding: Getting Ready!
I thought I was going to be a really awesome bride with a camera strapped around my neck, taking pictures of all the floral decor and party favors we worked so hard on — but things got hectic fast, and pretty much the only time I had control of my camera was in the Monarch room, our meeting room-turned-changing room/make-up studio/hair salon. view more →

Post image for Wedding Bouquets & Boutonnieres!
If you follow me on Path, you might’ve seen a few sneak peaks of what I’ve been up to:

This weekend, I got the bridal bouquets and boutonnieres done! I used wooden sola flowers and preserved plants, so these bouquets will never wilt. Some flowers were spray-painted coral to match our theme color, but otherwise, I tried to keep it as minimal as possible. Pretty decent for my first attempt at floral arrangements, eh? view more →

Post image for Let the countdown begin!
We are officially one month (and 5 days) away from our wedding! The food, cake, and wine are going to be top-notch, since we’re all about good food with intimate company. Everything else is pretty much DIY, such as our website and invitations. I will be blogging updates as we move further along in the planning! view more →
